The Evolution of Man and His Future
Ian Tattersall. Introduces: Telmo Pievani
In both biology and in cultural lifestyles, the most important innovations have been sporadic and in conflict with the fact that human evolution has been essentially a long term process of continual improvement thanks to natural selection. This process can only have an effect on individuals who are completely embedded into their own community. The growth of brain size could have effects upon achieved success among families of hominidae of species with larger brains, with respect to progressive growth in generation after generation within a single species. Suggesting a more plausible mechanism with respect to that of simple selective pressure regarding transition without precedents in cognitive state “Homo Sapiens” of today’s world, therefore becomes possible and necessary. This is an emerging mechanism in which the level of unique and unpredictable complexity may be arrived at by dint of cognitive acquisitions provoked by random coincidences. All of this doesn’t only change our way of seeing the past but also has implications upon the future biology of man.
