Food-Related Risks between Myth And Reality - (In French)
Obesity, OGMs, Toxicity and Carcinogenic Products

Renzo Cordera, Alain Périquet, Jean-Pierre Poulain. : Maxime Pierre

There is a lot of talk about food risks such as obesity, GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms), toxicity and carcinogenic products, but information on this topic is often complex and ambiguous. The terms of the debate change according to the kind of approach adopted, depending on whether it is scientific, economic, political or promotional. Are there “good” and “dangerous” products? What is myth and what is reality? With the help of two scientists it will be possible to take stock of our knowledge as far as food risk is concerned, while a nutritional sociologist will explain the role of politics in managing this kind of risk.
