(Don't) Play with Fire!
Playing with fire is dangerous, but for once in your life you will have the chance to know everything about fire under the careful supervision of the Fire Brigade.
Enjoy this special workshop organised in the Fire Brigade's District Headquarters of Genoa, which will give you the opportunity to follow a guided itinerary in complete safety into a fiery adventure, from the breakout of a blaze to its termination.
You will be equipped with the Fire Brigade’s protective clothing and you will learn how to distinguish between the different stages of a fire. At the end, you will have the chance to jump on a ladder truck and a fire truck/tank and try yourself to extinguish a fire using fire-extinguishers and hydrants, always with the help of professional fire-fighters.
Being a professional Fireman for a couple of hours will enlighten visitors into the phenomena and risks involved with fires.
The main objective is to let you learn the simple routine precautions to be taken in order to prevent fire, at home as well as in the workplace.
In order to be admitted to the Fire Station, groups will have to show a complete list of the visitors' personal data, including their first and family name, date and place of birth and identity card number.Visits have to give priority to the functions of the Fire Brigade; in the case of emergency calls, visits will not take place.
