One World or Infinite Universes?
An Idea which Has Become a Model

Alex Vilenkin. Introduces: Giulio Giorello

Vilenkin, a pioneer of contemporary cosmology, talks about a new theory of the universe that was very controversial initially, but that is now becoming a commonly accepted cosmological model. As in his book “Many Worlds in One” (Hardcover, 2006), Vilenkin passionately offers a scientific basis for the argument that many worlds exist, each one having its own physical characteristics: what doesn’t happen in our world may actually happen in infinite parallel universes. This fascinating analysis of a brave idea leads to some questions on the meaning of our own existence in this ocean of unlimited possibilities.
