MathFitness: Mathematics as Brain Gym
...Keep Training Your Mind!
MathFitness is the very first “mathematics gym”: an area where you can train your mind thanks to games, enigmas, riddles and interactive experiments that will wake up everyone’s mathematical spirit. It will be possible to choose from among more than 300 activities, from the simplest and most intuitive ones to the most complex ones in the quest for fun and enthralling mathematics for everyone. Many Italian away games have had great success, and MathFitness offers its audience a numerical oasis in its new location, which will satisfy everyone’s curiosity in an enjoyable way.
Created in April 2007, the MathFitness project aims to spread the culture of mathematics in its most widespread manner-problem solving. Today it has a fixed base in Genoa in the Palazzo Ducale, and welcomes visitors from all over Italy on a daily basis. Anyone can take part free of charge, MathFitness has both a scientific team and a “creative laboratory” to augment its functions guaranteeing the maximum in its informal and revealing approach. Along with other guest entrants, it participated in the first Mathematics Festival in Rome with great public success and acclaim.
